Mak was a hoarder – or “it will come in handy” kind of guy. And some of the things he kept – not sure if he really believed that or could not be bothered to get rid of stuff. A few months before he died he wrote in his blog that he wondered why he kept some stuff and was leaving it for Mary to throw out. Me too – I wonder about that, I have little trouble throwing out things but it takes time and energy to find places for stuff that has use and time and energy to load up the truck and haul loads to the transfer station.
This coming spring – I will hire people to clean out the attic and basement. I have taken a great deal of stuff from the basement and cleaned out most of the closets – but “stuff remains”.
